The Best Golf Shoes For 2010
The 2010 golf season has started officially and this is the time of year when golfers look at their equipment to see if it will withstand the rigours of another season. Golf bags and clubs normally last more than a few years but shoes are one item that does take a lot of wear and tear and may need replacing more regularly, added to this is the fact that at least once a year I leave my golf shoes in a locker room somewhere and occasionally do not get them back! So if golfers have a need to buy golf shoes on a regular basis I thought it would be a good idea to take a look at some of the best golf shoes on the market. These are really some of the VERY best golf shoes so be warned they are not cheap but they certainly are good:
Ecco World Class GTX
Ok before we start on these shoes they are pricey, you will find yourself paying £250 in most places but the Ecco World Class GTX shoes are one of the best golf shoes ever made offering handcrafted design and they are fully waterproof and extremely comfortable. There are lots of stories out there of golfers who say this shoe is the most comfortable shoe they have ever worn and that includes everyday shoes and trainers. If you play in the rain you will find your feet stay dry and even if you have a game the following day the shoes will be bone dry and ready for use. They say you have to pay for quality and you do but if you can afford these shoes then they really are worth it both for styling and comfort, you will not be sorry.
Footjoy Icon Golf Shoes
Footjoy have long since been known for making good quality golf shoes and 2010 is no exception with the introduction of their new Icon golf shoes. Again these are not cheap retailing at around £200 but they are fantastic golf shoes. These shoes look great with their retro styling and have extra waterproofing with a new leather uppers. They also come with Footjoys guarantee against losing any waterproofness which is always a nice to have extra. Footjoy have a long and great history to live up to but the Icon golf shoe certainly does that. This will be a much loved shoe in the world of golf and you will not go far wrong by choosing this shoe.
Adidas AdiPure Golf Shoes
Years ago you wouldn’t have seen an Adidas golf shoe on the course but recently their modern styling, almost trainer appearance and colour options have seen an explosion in the number of people wearing Adidas. The Adidas AdiPure Golf Shoes are the next step to Adidas becoming the big name in golf shoes across the world. The shoes have too many features to list here but they maintain the three stripe styling synonymous with Adidas. The shoes are comfortable durable and waterproof as you would expect from a premium shoe and they are cheaper than the options above. At between £129 and £150 you can make a savings on the above shoes. These shoes appeal to perhaps a younger set of golfers but this will be a very popular shoe and you are sure to see lots of them around the course in the near future.
So how to choose, well pick the one that you like best but don’t break the bank, work out your budget and stick to it. For the style conscious then the Ecco has that in abundance and has perhaps the ultimate performance, the Adidas has younger styling and performance whilst the Footjoy sits somewhere in between.
