Sunshine Summer Holidays in Playa Blanca
Planning a summer holiday this year? Then why not book a break in Playa Blanca – the fastest growing holiday resort on the delightful Canary Island of Lanzarote. Which offers sunshine in abundance along with great beaches and excellent restaurants.
Playa Blanca is one of only three resorts on this relatively unspoiled island and nestles at the foot of Lanzarote just across the Bocaina Straits from Fuerteventura. Enjoying a sheltered located that helps to create the best microclimate on the island some thirty minuets drive from the airport at Arrecife.
Holidays in Playa Blanca now feature in most of the tour operator’s brochures and the resort is also a real favourite with tourists seeking self catering accommodation. As there are literally hundreds of apartments and villas in Playa Blanca available for rent. Check the prices online and see how much cheaper it is to stay here than on most other Spanish holiday islands.
Despite the fact that Playa Blanca represents real value for money the resort is still top class. Take a stroll around the Rubicon Marina for a taste of luxury – as this is a mooring spot for hundreds of expensive yachts from around the world. As well as plenty of upmarket shops. Making this the ideal location for a meal out.
The Marina can be reached at the end of the seafront promenade that runs from one end of Playa Blanca to the other. Stroll along it and take in all of the resort’s best beaches on the way, from Playa Dorada in the west through to Playa Flamingo in the east. You´ll also see some of the best hotels in Lanzarote here too, such as the Timanfaya Palace and Hesperia Playa Dorada. Both of which offer good quality four star accommodation right on the seafront.
Lanzarote is a small island so anyone staying in Playa Blanca is well advised to hire a car and get out exploring. As there are some real natural wonders to see here such as the mighty volcanoes of theTimanfaya National Pakl. Which were forged by fiery eruptions in the 1703´s and again in 1824.
The roads on Lanzarote are safe and well signposted and there´s little in the way of traffic outside of the main resorts. Car hire in Lanzarote is cheap too – you can rent a basic two door vehicle for as little as €15 per day.
